Tangent Counselling Service was set up in 2002 by Sandra Graham. With 25 years management experience, Sandra moved over to counselling in the mid 1990s where she was taken on by Relate Scotland as a relationship counsellor.
Sandra was a psychosexual therapist and counsellor, an accredited registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), and a College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT) accredited psychosexual relationship therapist. She held the Diploma in Couple Counselling (Relate) and post graduate Certificate in Family Therapy and Systemic Practice.
Sandra worked for many years in the NHS with individuals and couples addressing sexual problems and contributed to the training of medical students at Edinburgh University. Through her private practice, she delivered counselling and therapeutic interventions to young people and adults in a wide range of public and private sector organisations and through individual referrals.
Tangent Counselling Service adheres to the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy ethical code and is committed to the promotion of equal opportunities in the work of confidential counselling.
As a member of BACP and accredited through COSRT, Sandra, of Tangent Counselling Services was bound by its ethical framework for good practice in counselling and psychotherapy and was subject to the professional conduct procedure therein.
Having completed the Diploma in Systemic/Family Therapy, Sandra continued to develop her professional accreditations.
